The University of Arizona and Tucson Hospitals Urology Residency Program consists of a five-year training program. One categorical position is available for the first year of training and two positions every other year for the 3rd year training in urology.

Candidates selected in the past have been among the upper one-third of their medical school class.

Interviews are scheduled by invitation only following faculty review of all applications and supporting letters. However, before any action can be taken on an applications, all of the following materials must be submitted via ERAS no later than October 1 of each year (applications received after this date will NOT be considered):

  • ERAS® application
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Dean's letter
  • Official transcripts from medical school
  • USMLE scores

Interviews will be scheduled in November and December, and consist of an all-day interview. Interviews will take place both at University Medical Center and at the Tucson VA Medical Center (transportation between the two facilities is provided). The University of Arizona Urology Program does not go through the NRMP, so you do not need a code number or to apply to this program.
