General Surgery Clinical Service

The Section of General Surgery of the Department of Surgery provides diagnostic and therapeutic services for surgical problems of the abdomen, gastrointestinal tract, endocrine system (thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal), breast, skin, and soft tissue. Particular expertise in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) approaches to gallbladder disease, hernias and the GI tract is also available. This clinical service welcomes referrals for complicated, reoperative surgical problems and complex diseases of the liver and pancreas.
