Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery

Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery provides consultative and therapeutic services for surgical treatment of adult and pediatric cardiac and pulmonary disease. Our world-class faculty do their best to serve the community of Tucson, as well as the state of Arizona and the West, in the areas of cardiac and thoracic surgery.

  • Coronary artery surgery
  • Heart valve surgery
  • MAZE procedure
  • IHSS (idiopathic hypertrophic subaortic stenosis)
  • Ventricular aneurysm surgery
  • Acquired ventricular septal defects
  • Aortic surgery
  • General thoracic surgery
  • Thoracic transplantation
  • Mechanical circulatory support
  • High-risk conventional procedures with device back-up
  • Congenital heart surgery in infants and children of all ages
  • Reoperative cardiac surgery
