Section of Neurosurgery


Dedicated to excellence in patient care, research and education, the neurosurgeons of the Section of Neurosurgery at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center are a diverse team whose expertise and experience span the full spectrum of adult and pediatric neurosurgical treatments. Together they perform more than 2,000 operative procedures annually.

 


Areas of special interest include minimally invasive stereotactic neurosurgery, surgical treatment of epilepsy, neurosurgical management of chronic pain disorders, cerebrovascular disease, intracranial aneurysms, cavernous angiomas of the brain and spinal cord, complex skull base tumors, and traumatic and degenerative disease of the spine.

University Medical Center, the primary facility for teaching, research and patient care at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center, has been ranked among the best hospitals in the country in neurology and neurosurgery by U.S. News and World Report.
