Section of Urology

The Section of Urology in the University of Arizona Department of Surgery provides excellent patient care, outstanding education for residents and students, and an environment that is conducive to improving the understanding of urologic disease through research.

Each of our faculty are especially trained to provide in depth and expert treatment in the management of complex urologic disease. Complete surgical services, including for disorders of the genitourinary system, with special expertise in urologic cancers, pediatric urology, urinary stone disease, urinary infections, impotence and reconstructive surgery, newer treatments for prostate diseases, abnormal bladder function, incontinence and complicated deformities of the urinary system, are available through the Section of Urology. Endourology includes ureteroscopic and percutaneous management of kidney stones (nephrolithotomy) and laparoscopic surgery.

Several research studies make available new and highly effective treatments for prostate cancer and urinary incontinence. Also, the Section of Urology in the Department of Surgery has established a premier minimally invasive surgery program.

We make every effort to be personally available for all telephone calls and physician referrals. Physician referrals should be directed to the Physician Resource Line at (520) 694-5868 or 800-777-7552. For other inquiries, please
call us at (520) 626-6236.
