Section of Vascular Surgery

The Section of Vascular Surgery at The University of Arizona Health Sciences Center provides the highest quality of care in the management of vascular disorders, and is committed to improving the understanding of vascular disease through medical research.

Section surgeons manage all problems of the circulatory system (arteries and veins outside the heart and brain), from the simplest to the most complex, using both advanced surgical and the full breadth of endoluminal techniques. They are nationally recognized for their expertise, which spans the full spectrum of vascular diseases including:

  • cerebrovascular diseases
  • aneurysmal and occlusive diseases of the aorta
  • peripheral occlusive disease for claudication and limb-threatening ischemia
  • acute and chronic mesenteric ischemia and renal artery stenosis
  • permanent hemodialysis access
